Advanced Oil Painting with Matt Kania
March 17 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$250.00 – $340.00
5 Sessions | For oil painters looking to expand their knowledge and techniques. All levels of experience welcome, previous experience recommended.
Examine examples of master oil paintings and discover why they are masterful. Study the aspects of designing a major canvas: developing a compelling composition, preparing a convincing drawing, selecting an advantageous color palette, and learning to work in stages as well as alla prima. Create substantial oil paintings based on your choice of subject matter. Suggestions include a complex still life or a figure/portrait.
The instructor will work directly with each student to select subject matter, determine canvas size and prepare an individual vision for a finished painting.
