Oil Painting Methods with Matt Kania

4 Sessions | Grow your oil painting skillset with hands-on instruction. Examine and practice traditional methods for direct, representational painting. Learn how to portray accurate form and space, to use color to your advantage in composition, to emphasize atmosphere with soft and hard edges, and to paint faces and hands. Matt will demonstrate concepts and assist as you create your own paintings using the working methods learned.

Students with varying levels of experience are invited to register.

The Lincoln Park Building’s Great Room is a multipurpose art-making classroom space with movable work tables, chairs, easels, and drawing horses, framed by two massive arched windows and a high ceiling.
