Ribbon Skirts for Beginners with Chi Ma’iingan

Two Sessions | Taught by the well-known Chi Ma’ iingan from Round Lakes Traditions, this class gives beginners the sewing skills to create a beautiful simple ribbon skirt, and confidence in sewing basics. Learn tricks of the trade from an artist known for beautiful ribbon skirts and regalia he has sewn and designed all across the Pow Wow trail. Participants will work on their own ribbon skirt to take home.

The Lincoln Park Building’s Great Room is a multipurpose art-making classroom space with movable work tables, chairs, easels, and drawing horses, framed by two massive arched windows and a high ceiling.
