Ceramics Studio

The Duluth Art Institute’s Lincoln Park Building (2229 W 2nd Street) houses a fully equipped ceramics studio accommodating beginning to advanced potters and ceramic artists. The studio provides throwing wheels, hand-building and wedging tables, a slab roller, spray booth, glaze room, and related hand tools. The studio also boasts four electric kilns and one large gas kiln.

Lincoln Park Building Great Room

The Lincoln Park Building is a historic Carnegie Library repurposed by the DAI to host art classes and studio spaces. The Great Room features customizable, creative classroom space with work tables, artistic ambience, and plenty of natural light from its iconic windows. Work with the DAI to set up the space for birthdays, club meetings, or other events. Contact info@duluthartinstitute.com for rental information.

Rates

  • Two-hour minimum: $100
  • Rate after first two hours: $50/hr
  • $75 upfront deposit (refundable if expectations are met)

No storage space available outside of rented hours.
Renters must provide their own supplies unless otherwise coordinated with the DAI.
Availability is limited by other scheduled uses of space.
