8 Sessions | This hands-on class includes pottery wheel, altered forms, handbuilding, and glaze demonstrations. Types of vessel construction covered include platters, jars, pouring vessels, other large forms, whistles, and beyond, with plenty of time to craft a body of work based on your own personal ideation/aesthetic in both form and glazing concepts. Bring your own plans and concepts, advance your techniques, and push your work to new growth. Registration Deadline: January 7, 2026.

Location details
The Duluth Art Institute’s Lincoln Park Building (2229 W 2nd Street) houses a fully equipped ceramics studio accommodating beginning to advanced potters and ceramic artists. The studio provides throwing wheels, hand-building and wedging tables, a slab roller, spray booth, glaze room, and related hand tools. The studio also boasts four electric kilns and one large gas kiln.
