3 SESSIONS | The height of the summer plein air painting season is upon us! Now is the time to jump back into outdoor painting and brush up on fundamental skills. This 3-day rapidfire workshop covers reliable approaches to plein air painting by honing skills at observing and translating natural colors onto the canvas. Learn to create effective landscapes using tried-and-true methods at various locations around Duluth. Matt will demonstrate plein air painting using oil painting materials, and will work individually with students to support their own efforts. While oils are encouraged, student using other mediums are welcome.

The Lincoln Park Building’s Great Room is a multipurpose art-making classroom space with movable work tables, chairs, easels, and drawing horses, framed by two massive arched windows and a high ceiling.
