Doors Open Duluth – Rethos

The building seamlessly combines architectural heritage with a modern community-focused purpose. From its origins as a Carnegie library serving working-class neighborhoods to its rebirth as a multipurpose arts center, it’s a compelling example of adaptive reuse.

What to expect:

The DAI will have tours at 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, and 4:15.

The tour will be of the ceramic studio, great room classroom space and a peek into what a live figure drawing session set up looks like. Public Artist and professor, Paul LeJeunesse is working on a mural for Lake Superior College and we will get a first look at that. Coffee and cookies will be available. Please note, due to clay dust, we don’t allow food or beverages in the clay studio section of the building.
